ACP Talk

ACP Talk is a website designed to raise community awareness of advance care planning and for health professionals conducting advance care planning with people from different religious and cultural backgrounds. ACP Talk was developed in conjunction with Australian religious and cultural leaders and organisations and aims to support conversations sensitive to the religious and cultural values and beliefs of all Australians.

Information provided includes: background and beliefs, practices, disclosure of medical prognosis and advice on having an advance care planning conversation for various religions/faiths or cultures. There are a range of short informational videos available as well about advance care planning with some videos in several community languages.

Leading Age Services Australia (LASA)

LASA developed a resource called Making Choices for Life. One of the learning modules is on Advance Care Directives: Supporting an individual client’s preferences for quality of life choices, applying an ethical-legal framework. The module includes a short educational video and a factsheet.(190kb pdf)
