A career in aged care is a rewarding experience but it can also sometimes be emotional and stressful when providing clients and their families with end of life palliative care. Taking care of yourself is important for your overall health and wellbeing and to continue providing quality care.

palliAGED

palliAGED also has a webpage devoted to resources on self-care.  These include links to examples of a self-care plan, burnout, caring for oneself, and receiving support from your organisation. palliAGED has downloadable Practice Tips on grief and loss among staff for Nurses (pdf 232kb) and Careworkers dealing with the death of people they have taken care of. (pdf 364kb)
