Building a Knowledge Hub: Updating the ELDAC website

With so many things changing, we know being able to find the information and resources you need is more important than ever. This has become more significant given the expected influence of the Aged Care Standards, new Aged Care Act, and pending changes to the Home Support Program. We need to make sure that relevant and usable resources and information can be easily found by:

  • Care staff who provide hands-on care and support for older people
  • Services who need to meet the pending Aged Care Standards and develop confident and capable teams, and
  • Aged care sector as they address the reform agenda and ongoing changes.

This is the aim of our Knowledge Hub project. And we have already started the journey. We have completed a review of page usage and culled non-required pages. We have established a Knowledge Hub Working Group to guide the redevelopment. We invited people in the sector to contribute to a card sorting exercise to help our redesign activities and we have scheduled a co-design workshop.

1. Website content pruning Jan 2024 2. Card sort activity Jun 2024 3. Card sort data analysis Jun-Jul 2024 4. Co-design workshop Aug 2024 5. Model build and next steps

Help us improve the ELDAC website

We are keen to make sure that the website is meeting your needs as staff working in aged care and as services providing aged care to older people. We are keen to understand how we could make it easier for you and to make sure you have the right information and resources.
We would love to hear from you on what you see as the most important things that the redesigned website needs to hold. You can also register to be involved in user testing later in the year.
